, initially, police told us they were looking for kim tolefree as well as a 1-year- old child, a girl. her name was -- her name is isaza tolefree. she was described as last wearing a pink shirt with blue bears holding anage and yellow blanket and kim tolefree was last seen wearing a plaid and beige coat, acid washed jeans. we're told the suspect was armed and dangerous. the twist -- and we just got done talking with oakland police and her daughters as well, we're told this may not be a child at all. it may be a case of domestic violence involving drugs. here's what one neighbor said. we don't that have sound right now. we're trying to sort out out the details. a cording -- sort the details. this 1-year-old girl, according had kim tolefree's daughters, the child does not exist. it may have been a matter of a domestic violence case with drugs. pline floor -- brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> we're following developing news out of turkey. a suicide bomber set off explosives killing himself and an embassy security guard. coming up at 7:15, what we are hearing about the group responsible

moriarty joins us for more on this story, tara? >> reporter: we are here at petaluma high school where students and parents have been placed on alert and that's because 17-year-old -- a 17- year-old student suddenly became ill and collapsed. he contracted the blood infection caused by a bacteria that can develop into meningitis. school officials sent out an alert to let them know if they came in contact they need to seek medical help. the disease is treated with antibiotics and if it is untreated it can lead to death in all cases. it can be spread by kissing sharing a drink or getting coughed on. if you have the by at it be -- antibiotics you will be okay. as 14th he is greatly improved but he is still in serious condition. we will tell you about another case that popped up at another north bay high school coming up and tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> there is information out of kansas city missouri where more than a dozen people were hurt after an explosion triggered a huge fire. one person missing was found. crews are still out there searching for yet another missing p

with developing news. the u.s. coast guard is searching for two adults and two children who are missing off the coast of san mateo county. tara moriarty joins us from the coast card station. tara. >> reporter: it's been more than 12 hours since authorities first began this search. and the water where this family disappeared is quite chilly in the low 50s. so obviously hope is fading but the coast guard continues its search. if we can take a look at the map we can show you exactly where authorities believe they went missing. as soon as it's light out the coast guard and air national guard will deploy helicopters. at last check they were 50 miles southwest of santa cruz. a flee of boats and airplanes are scouring the water. they called in distress around 4:30 last night. saying their boat was taking on water. they did not have any life rafts or survival suits on board. they were trying to make a raft from a cooler and life preserver ring. that was the last time officials heard from them. their craft ran into strong winds and rough seas and warnings had been out all weekend. we do not know the
